Israeli dancing truly is for everyone. This fun and unique style of dance is a fusion of traditional and contemporary dance styles reflective of the diverse culture of Israel. From Yemenite, hora, and debka to folk, salsa, ballet, hip-hop, (and more!), there is something for everyone. This is a "group" dance--everyone does the same steps to a specific song. The formation can be circle, line, or partner. You don't need any experience, just a positive attitude, a fun-loving spirit, and an open mind. The music will draw you in, the friendly atmosphere will keep you coming back.
Sessions at Sha'arey Yeshua Congregation are open to the community; sessions at Butler University, International School of Indiana, and Beth-El Zedeck are for registered students only (links above). ContactRhea for more information on bringing Israeli dancing to your group or special occasion.
