Israeli dancing truly is for everyone. This fun and unique style of dance is a fusion of traditional and contemporary dance styles reflective of the diverse culture of Israel. From Yemenite, hora, and debka to folk, salsa, ballet, hip-hop, (and more!), there is something for everyone. This is a "group" dance--everyone does the same steps to a specific song. The formation can be circle, line, or partner. You don't need any experience, just a positive attitude, a fun-loving spirit, and an open mind. The music will draw you in, the friendly atmosphere will keep you coming back.
Sessions at the Domont Auditorium at the CJEL are open to the community; sessions at Butler University and Beth-El Zedeck are for registered students only (links above). ContactRhea for more information on bringing Israeli dancing to your group or special occasion.
